Florida is Getting Even More NEAT!
With the East coast of Florida getting a lot of the NEAT life, we decided it was about time to add another location to the West! After searching for just the right NEAT girl, we are beyond excited to introduce you to Laura Frasor who is launching this week in Tampa!! She is absolutely adorable and we are excited for you all to get to know her …
NM :: Tell us why you wanted to run NEAT in your city?
Laura :: I wanted to run NEAT because I’ve always had an affinity for fashion, style, decor and obviously, organization. Now that I have kids, I know more than ever how important it is to be organized. I love organizing and re-organizing my house as the seasons change, as the school year progresses and as my kids get older. Being organized really does help keep the house clean and tidy while helping to make a hectic schedule a little less chaotic.
NM :: What did you do before you ran NEAT?
Laura :: I used to work in finance for TD Waterhouse before I had kids. Once my kids were born, I made the decision to stay home with them. Now that they are in school, it’s time for me to do something that I love.
NM :: What makes your city unique?
Laura :: Tampa is an amazing city! People often think of Florida as a touristy state, but you don’t get that feeling here. There are so many young families that have made this area home. We have incredible friends here and have no plans of living anywhere else.
NM :: How long have you lived in your city?
Laura :: My husband and I moved here from Toronto 9 years ago.
NM :: What are your favorite places to shop in your city?
Laura :: My favorite place to shop has got to be International Mall. But, if I could only shop at one store it would be Nordstrom (and maybe The Container Store)!
NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?
Laura :: There is a row of great restaurants right near International Mall (convenient, I know). Ocean Prime has got to be a favorite of ours. But, if we are with the kids, Doc B’s, is our go to (and I can always use a piece of cheesecake to go from The Cheesecake Factory).
NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is?
Laura :: My most organized space has got to be my pantry. My pantry needs to be in top shape because my kids are always in there, helping themselves. Now that they are old enough to know where everything is, it is so easy for them to find what they want without tearing it apart. It also helps me with my dreaded morning chore, school lunches. I have a shelf that is dedicated to the kids. This makes it easy for them to pick out a few of their lunch items and leave them out for me or for me to be able to put together a healthy lunch quickly. And I think we can all agree, every minute in the morning counts!
NM :: Well that sure looks like a NEAT pantry. No wonder we love you! What is your favorite product to use to organize things?
Laura :: My favorite products are baskets. There are so many different shapes and styles to use in different spaces. They instantly make a space look organized and they remove visible clutter while allowing you to group similar items together making things easy to find and store.
NM :: Okay now for a fun question :). Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
Laura :: Hidden talents…hmmmmm. My children are always surprised when mom busts out her old gymnastics skills.
NM :: Haha. We may need to see some of those one day! Thanks so much for your answers. We can’t wait to see the spaces NEAT Tampa starts transforming!
xx,
the NEAT girls
