A Day in the Life of Katie Koentje!
Hi NEAT Readers! I’m Katie Koentje and I’ve been running NEAT down in SoCal for a couple years now. When Ashley and Molly asked me to do a guest blog about a day in my life, I had to laugh! My “typical” day changed 7 months ago… I gave birth to the love of my life – my son, Ryan.
As most moms can tell you, each day is a new adventure! One of my favorite parts about being a new mom is watching Ryan discover and try something new. He looks up at a tree that I have passed a million times with such wonder. I am trying to slow down and enjoy the world around us. He loved his first of many days at the beach.
I recently had some free thyme on my hands (see what I did there?) so I tackled our spice cabinet which had been kinda’ driving me crazy. #ChefKoentje also known as my husband, Erik didn’t seem to mind it, but I couldn’t take it for a minute longer!
Life on the job for NEAT in San Diego is the BEST in my opinion. We have amazing weather and gorgeous views. Here is the view from one of my client’s homes.
We also happen to have awesome clients with fun jobs. This one had us completing children’s’ puzzles. We wanted to make sure we had found all of the pieces and the final project was to die for!
My client’s here have some pretty swoon worthy spaces too! I was able to work Dana Thompson Photography to capture our work in this gorgeous Manhattan Beach home.
Regardless of my fun days, coming home to my guys warms my heart. My work/life balance is at the perfect place right now.
