A Look Into a New NEAT Baby's Room with a SPECIAL Announcement
Hi Everyone! It's Molly, NEAT's co-founder π I am taking over the blog today to share with you the scoop on our new son, how we organized his room and an amazing partnership that I can't wait a minute more to shareβ¦.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Alba and her team at Honest and we will be working together to show you how their products can help you live the NEAT life. The timing was perfect because I was nearly due to have a baby and their diapers alone are about the cutest things I have ever seen! Speaking of cute (I may be biasedβ¦), let me introduce you to the newest love of my lifeβ¦ Curren Hart Graves.Β
My husband Ryan is an avid surfer so Curren came from an iconic pro, Tom Curren. It also didn't hurt that it's origins were Gaelic β Ryan's family has an Irish background. The name Hart is my Grandmother's maiden name and my Mom's middle name. As you can imagine, it was a simple decision to create a room with an ocean theme so I stuck with black and white as well as every shade of blue I could find.Β
My favorite spot in the room is this corner. Truthfully, the entire space really stemmed from this rocking chair. This felt like something that could be in his room or a playroom forever instead of a glider that I would want to get rid of ASAP. I also have been dying (pun totally not intended but SO GOOD) to find a place to use these curtains from a favorite Etsy Shop of mine. I figured blue dip dyed fabric would go nicely in the ocean room. With my first son, Hudson, a day hasn't gone by that I haven't used my tried and true "it's not a diaper bag, diaper bag." With two, I realized I need to use something that is exceptionally functional. The Honest Diaper Bag is even, "Dad approved" according to Ryan. I love that the front zipper is a mini cooler for milk! It also has pockets but not so many that you forget where everything is which is key when you are looking for a snack for an upset toddler.
This circular shelf is a bit of a nod to the nautical theme and I also had it made from a shop I found on Etsy.Β
Curren's changing station is really quite simple. I used the same dresser that I used in Hudson's room because it fits my favorite drawer organizers inside perfectly! I also put a HUGE fun bean bag in the room in hopes that Hudson will be interested in playing in here for a bit while I change his brotherβ¦ wishful thinkingβ¦I knowβ¦
The art, once again is ocean themed but I just HAD to get this fun geometric mobile. Let's be honest β I totally got this for myself! Hopefully Curren likes it too!
Here's a close up of those drawer organizers in action. I love how perfectly they hold diapers and pajamas. The sectioned one holds all of my favorite baby products. Thanks to Honest, I have tried them all now and am loving their rash cream and bottom wash currently.
This little pocket organizer was 100% inspired by one that I saw at Land of NodΒ but it just so happens my Mom is amazing with a sewing machine so she made me one that was exactly what I wanted πΒ
Finally, did you think this NEAT girl was going to show you an entire room without showing you the closet?! I had California Closets come in a get this space set up how I wanted it and then, from there, I did a little organizing magic.
When prepping for a baby, it is so important to make the organization as SIMPLE as possible because in the heat of the moment (i.e mid diaper change) you don't have time to think. I used these linen basketsΒ to make my life easier. I have one for extra wipes, extra diapers, next size up diapers, keepsakes, and clothes that are too small.Β
Of course, no closet is complete without the non-slip hangers. It also doesn't hurt that they are SO STINKING CUTE when they are this mini!
Back to diaper changing, and feeding for me! Hope you liked the tour of Curren's nursery. If you need me, I'll be answering emails at my 12 and 4 am feeds π
Β
xx
MollyΒ
