We Thought You'd Also Love...

Houston, we have a NEAT girl

This is the final June launch announcement! We are so excited for these five women, and hope you are too. Today we introduce to you – Annie Duckworth, she is getting Houston NEAT, and we couldn’t be more thrilled since we’ve received so many requests for help in that city! We are confident she’ll help tackle disorganization in the Space City.

NM :: Congrats on your launch! What made you want to run NEAT Houston?

AD :: I realized Houston is such great market for NEAT because there is so much going on in this city. People move here for the climate, southern hospitality and the many job opportunities. Whether I can help organize a new home, existing home or even a small apartment I hope to simplify the lives of many Houstonians.

NM :: What makes your city so unique?

AD :: Houston is the fourth largest city and with that comes a wide array of diversity. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is one of the biggest rodeos in the world. We are also home to THE largest medical center. Not to mention we have some pretty awesome sports teams!

NM :: Seems like everything IS bigger in Texas! What did you do before you NEAT?

AD :: I was the marketing coordinator for a startup app company in Houston. That is how I first ran across NEAT Method on Instagram. I fell in love with the company right then and there!

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

AD :: I was born and raised in Houston. I went to college in Kansas for 4 years and was ready to get out of the cold and head back to the warm weather and the warm people in my hometown.

NM :: Since you would know best…what are your favorite places to shop in your city?

AD :: For clothing I love to shop at Hemline, Anthropologie, Zara, and I’m a huge fan of lululemon. For my house, I love to shop at High Fashion Home, Kuhl Linscomb, and I love a good World Market find.

NM :: What about your favorite places to eat in the area?

AD :: That’s a hard one with Houston having one of the best culinary scenes in the country! My favorite brunch spots are Liberty Kitchen, Snooze, and Kraftsman Cafe. My go to lunch spots would have to be Tiny Boxwoods, Local Foods, and The French House. For dinner Molinas (have to have my TexMex fix!), Eloise Nichols, Coltivare, or Carrabbas. Can you tell I like to eat out?

NM :: We’d love to see your most organized space! Can we have a peek?

AD :: My most organized space is my kitchen. I am always finding new ways to organize it, which drives my roommates crazy! Can you tell I like La Croix?

NM :: Show us a picture of your least organized space and tell us what the heck happened.

AD :: My least organized space would have to be my bedside dresser. It is my go to junk drawer and no matter how many times I try to clean it out and organize it the drawer ends up a mess again a week later!!

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

AD :: They can expect me to be professional, honest, and upbeat. Besides all of that, I think that one of the most important things is for my clients to be happy and fully satisfied, so I will always have their best interests at heart.

NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?

AD :: I am pretty tech savvy. I guess that is the Millennial in me, but I am my family and friends go to gal when it comes to solving tech problems.

NM :: What business do you admire and why?

AD :: I admire my father’s businesses. He has a commercial real estate company in Houston, but has always been an entrepreneur on the side. I have seen him successfully and unsuccessfully run businesses while working his full time job. I think this is why I wanted to become an entrepreneur myself. We joke around and say it must be in my blood!

We are so excited you’re joining the NEAT team. Welcome!

xx
