Get NEAT Sooner!
If the title is any clue… you’ll know where our newest NEAT city is located! Amanda Coffin is officially launching NEAT Oklahoma City in the Sooner State. We are thrilled to add her to the NEAT family and we’d love for you to get to know her like we have!
NM :: Congrats on launching! What made you want to run NEAT in your city?
AC :: I have always wanted to run my own business and the fact that I get to combine that with organizing is a dream. I have so much fun styling and organizing, but until I came across NEAT Method, I thought that would always just be a hobby. I am so excited to help OKC get NEAT!
NM :: What did you do before running NEAT?
AC :: I earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mathematics education from the University of Oklahoma and have been teaching high school math teacher for 5 years.
NM :: What makes your OKC unique?
AC :: Oklahoma City is full of great people. We have the perfect mix of midwestern values and southern hospitality that make Oklahoma City one of the most friendly and welcoming places you’ll ever visit. We have an incredible sense of community and it’s always amazing to how the citizens of OKC come together to support a cause, whether it’s tornado victim relief or the OKC Thunder in the NBA playoffs.
NM :: Sounds like a great place! How long have you lived in the city?
AC :: I grew up in rural Oklahoma, but have lived in the Oklahoma City area for the past 10 years.
NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
AC :: I make a pretty mean grilled cheese sandwich.
NM :: Ooh, yum! Speaking of food… what are your favorite places to eat in your city?
AC :: I’m a foodie and love to try new places, but to keep the list short I’ll go with Empire Slice House, Cheever’s Cafe, The Jones Assembly, Red Prime, Revolución, and Nic’s Grill. You’ve always gotta have dessert and my go-tos for that are Roxy’s Ice Cream Social, Cuppies and Joe, and Capitals Ice Cream.
NM :: And what about your favorite places to shop?
AC :: I love shopping for home goods and decor and my favorite stops for that would have to be At Home, Hobby Lobby, and Kirkland’s. When it comes to clothes, I have to admit, I’m an online clothes shopping addict! Nordstrom is definitely my fav for that, but I also like to shop at Lush Fashion Lounge, Old Navy, Target, and DSW.
NM :: We’d love to see your most organized space… what is it?
AC :: My most organized space would definitely be my pantry. I love being able to access everything easily and see exactly how much of everything I have. It’s definitely my happy place!
NM :: What about your least organized space? What the heck happened?
AC :: My least organized space is my hall cabinet. Since we moved it has become a catch-all for decorations, picture frames, and even candles. The fact that no one sees this cabinet hasn’t helped it get to the top of my organizing priority list…yet!
NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
AC :: I am so excited to run my own business and to help people have the organized homes they’ve always wanted. I have a passion for teaching others new skills and I am ready to teach my clients how they can maintain organized spaces and have them look pretty too!
NM :: What blog do you think we NEED to follow now and why?
AC :: The Small Things Blog. Kate started this blog years ago to share hair tutorials, but it has since grown into a beauty/lifestyle/fashion blog. She keeps it real about life with her two boys and new baby girl and is always sharing great tips and tricks on everything from makeup to the perfect pizza dough! I highly recommend following her on Instagram also, she is always sharing tidbits there too!
Thanks for giving us a glimpse into who you are, Amanda! We’re so excited to see you transform client spaces in Oklahoma City.
xx
