The 5th and final city we are launching this week is … Atlanta!! A city that has truly been on our bucket list since the start! Since it is such a big and fabulous market, we though it was only fitting to have not just one girl in charge but two! NM :: Okay ladies, please introduce yourself and tell us why you wanted to launch NEAT in Georgia!

SE :: I want to bring NEAT to the Atlanta suburbs because I believe organization in the home makes for a happy and more efficient family life. Also, infusing style into organizing is something “Atlantans” will love! I also love the idea of being a girl boss!

DG :: I realized I wanted to organize as a profession while building my home. During the process I was able to incorporate all the organizational tools I’d been drooling over for years on Pinterest and Houzz. It was so fun getting to create super functional spaces that were also pretty! I was so excited about my pant pull out rack and shoe shelves I could hardly sleep the night before they were installed! Ha. I’ve always been organized but as an adult I’ve come to realized that’s not the case for everyone. I love the idea creating spaces that will help anyone (even the perpetually unorganized) keep order, organization and serenity. I love Atlanta and love the idea of being able to help make it NEATer.

NM :: Well we sure are glad you share our love of an organized home and so is the rest of Atlanta! What did you do before joining NEAT?

DG :: I worked in Public Accounting for 3 years at KPMG then moved to Atlanta to work for Wendy’s Corporate, then Home Depot after that doing Corporate Tax Accounting. In 2015 I took some time off to plan my wedding and build my home, then decided to get my real estate license which is what I have been focused on until NEAT came along!

SE :: I was an elementary special education teacher. Being a special education teacher helped me to see my students as a giant complex puzzle waiting to be assembled to help achieve their fullest potential. My teaching career has equipped me with the skills to tackle complex organizational areas and figure out how the “organizational puzzle” can best come together.

NM ::What’s one of your favorite things about living in the Atlanta area?

DG & SE :: We love Atlanta because it has a great big city vibe along with vibrant welcoming suburban areas. There is such a mixture of residents and that gives it such an interesting dynamic. It’s a very active city in the sense that there’s always something going on, whether it be a festival, concert, exhibition or gala, but it also offers so many “quiet escapes” like parks, trails and museums.

NM :: Sounds like the perfect place to live! What are some your favorite places to shop and eat?

SE :: My favorite place to shop is the Avalon in Alpharetta, GA. It has a great mix of brand name stores along with cute boutique shops!

DG :: There is no shortage of places to shop in Atlanta (especially Buckhead) between the 2 malls, boutiques and the new high end shopping district called “Buckhead Atlanta”. When it comes to shopping for clothing, Tootsies, Intermix and Cos are a few of my favorite. One of my closest friends owns a store called Bella Bag, so when I’m looking for a handbag or leather good, I always go there first. For home décor I love Bungalow Classic, Redefined Home and Boxwoods.

NM :: Okay kind of feeling like we need to plan a shopping trip to Atlanta! What about restuarants? What are your favorite places to refuel?

SE :: My favorite restaurants to eat at are located in downtown Roswell! The area has a variety of spots with amazing ambiance and food. It is a great place to sit outside, enjoy a wonderful meal, and visit with friends.

DG :: Le Bilbloquet is the best for girl’s dinners or brunch, Hal’s is my favorite steakhouse in Atlanta, and Umi is hands down the best sushi.

NM :: Seriously we may need to have our next Summit in Atlanta! Okay now lets get down to business. What is the most organized area of your home? What about the least – we’ve all got one :).

SE :: The most organized space in my home is my pantry. I love the convenience and ease of locating an item and knowing what is available when I am preparing meals. The least organized space in my home is my 7 year old daughter’s closet. Even though we have a system in place, clothes still end up on the floor.

DG :: My closet is definitely the most organized. I was able to customize it exactly how I wanted, I made sure my shoes were easy to see and get to. I also had pant pullouts installed so I can get to all my jeans and pants easily and not have to deal with towering stacks. My husband’s ties are without a doubt the least organized. He has SO MANY (over 100 I think). He’s also not one to spend a lot of time putting things away so they just keep getting thrown over rods. It drives me nuts!!

NM :: Thanks for sharing. What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

SE :: Clients can expect a hard working professional who can turn ideas into realistic organized spaces that best suit the needs of their lifestyle, home, and family.

DG :: Zero judgment (I understand how life gets!), enthusiasm and a finished product that meets (and hopefully exceeds) all expectations!
