According to Maria:: 8 Places You Can’t Miss in NYC
Maria was so full of amazing things to say in our interview that we decided to break it up into two complete posts! In this second portion, we are sharing all of the AMAZING places Maria thinks you CANNOT MISS while in New York. Did we mention that she is launching NEAT New York!? We won't make you wait any longer::
NM:: Okay so now that you are in New York, give us all the details on your favorite places! Where do you like to shop/eat/?
MK:: One of the most amazing things about New York City is the abundance and variety of places to shop, eat, and be active. My favorite restaurant in NYC is
Betony (on 57th Street between 5th and 6th). It was opened by two
Eleven Madison Park alum and you can definitely tell – the food is creative and delicious, and their wine and cocktails are always an excellent complement. If you happen to go when they have their Lobster Roll on the menu, do not pass it up!
NM:: Okay so next time we are in town let’s for sure get the Lobster Roll on the, “to do” list! You are in Brooklyn now though – what are you loving there?
MK:: My fiance and I are big fans of Colonie (on Atlantic Avenue). The restaurant has a great atmosphere, whether it’s for dinner with friends or a date. The food and cocktails are fantastic and their ‘green wall’ is a pretty cool feature if you are interested in sustainable design.
NM:: These sound AMAZING! Let’s get to the shopping…
MK:: Who doesn’t like to talk about the shopping!? I always head to the flatiron area. The small neighborhood houses two my favorite shops –
ABC Carpet and Home (888 Broadway) and Restoration Hardware (935 Broadway). The ground floor of ABC has the most amazingly curated selection of products; you can find anything from organic makeup to the most beautiful ceramic bowls imaginable.
NM:: We are officially meant to be! ABC Carpet and Home is hands down Molly’s FAVORITE place in all of New York!
MK:: If you practice (or are looking to try) yoga, I absolutely love Pure Yoga. They have two locations in the city (on the Upper East and Upper West Side) and have classes in every kind of yoga imaginable. Some of my favorite instructors are Yogi Charu (check out his yoga nidra class for some serious deep relaxation), Terrence Monte for an awesomely challenging vinyasa, and Scott Harig for his Ashtanga practice.
MK:: Others that I MUST tell you about that I cannot live without in my life: Coffee —
Blue Bottle. Cookies —
Levain. Drinks —
Raines Law Room. Is this too much info for the post? Will you need to cut this down?
NM:: We are keeping it in! You can never know too much about New York!
We are so excited to finally offer NEAT's services full time in New York. Check out our Facebook and Instagram for updates on our launch week!
xx
