A New Golden Girl

As you might know San Francisco, The Golden City, was the very first NEAT location! Since it was founded, the market has grown drastically, and we needed reinforcement. We are so thrilled to introduce three amazing women who will be taking over the SF market.

Today we want to welcome Ashley Polselli – Owner of NEAT San Francisco + Marin.

NM :: Welcome Ashley! We’re excited to get to know you better. Can you please tell us why you wanted to run NEAT in your city?

AP :: I wanted to run NEAT in San Francisco because I care deeply about creating a comfortable and orderly home for others. The fastpaced lifestyle in the Bay Area often leaves professionals and families with little time for running their own household. Running NEAT in San Francisco and Marin gives me the opportunity to go into homes and help implement systems to help families run more efficiently and calmly. It is truly rewarding to be able to offer a service that brings a sense of peace to homes.

NM :: What did you do before you ran NEAT?

AP :: Before running NEAT, I was a fashion buyer for a women’s retailer in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. I’ve been in the fashion industry for over a decade.

NM :: That sounds so great! Since you’ve traveled around a bit what makes your city unique?

AP :: The good things you hear about the city are true. Between San Francisco and Marin, there is everything you’d ever want in a day. In the morning you can be hiking Mount Tamalpais and by lunch, you can be downtown eating at a hot new restaurant.

NM :: How long have you lived in the area?

AP :: I’ve lived in San Francisco for 8 years.

NM :: So you must know all the great spots! What are your favorite places to shop in your city?

AP :: Sacramento Street has the best shopping in San Francisco including Hudson Grace and March.

NM :: What about great food recommendations in SF?

AP :: Quick lunch: Nourish and As Quoted
Date night: Zuni Café and L’Ardoise
Family dinner with the boys: 4505 and Giorgio’s

NM :: Yum! What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT?

AP :: The unique architecture of each San Francisco home offers a variety challenges and opportunities. Running NEAT in San Francisco means getting to work in different sized spaces every day of the week. One day is spent organizing a 500 square-foot studio in a highrise downtown and the next is editing a 500 squarefoot closet in a Victorian three story home. This variety allows me to continue to push my organizational skills so that I can keep delivering the best services to each individual client.

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

AP :: With each project, I bring attention to detail, form, and function. Professionally, my clients can expect a thorough first meeting, where I learn about their goals and vision for the room. I then come up with a plan of action and get to work. Communication throughout the process is important and a beautiful and functional space that works for the client is the end result.

NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?

AP :: As a mom of two young boys, my hidden talent is being able to bring order to chaos under the craziest of circumstances.

NM :: What is your favorite product to use to organize things?

AP :: The Nordic Storage Baskets with Bamboo Lids are having a moment and I can’t get enough of them. They can be used in almost any room and I love their clean look.

NM :: What business do you admire and why?

AP :: I admire The Bundle of Joy. It’s a San Francisco based business run by a fellow mom that delivers perfectly curated and meaningful boxes to new moms. The founder inspired me to make the change from my traditional job and take over NEAT Method San Francisco.

NM :: As an organizer you must have a space you’re super proud of. What is it?

AP :: My closet is the most organized space because it’s the only space in the house that’s truly mine, no little hands pulling it apart

NM :: What about LEAST organized?
AP :: Our play area can go from Pinterest to disaster in about 2 minutes. However, because of the baskets and bins I have labeled the boys are pretty good at putting toys area at the end of the day.

Thanks for giving us a bit of insight into you and NEAT SF! We are so excited you’re a part of the NEAT fam now.

xx
