Space Lift: Foster Family Room
We love showing finalized NEAT spaces on our Instagram feed, but what we love even more is telling the stories of how our clients are living more effiiciently in their newly organized spaces.
This is a very special space, since this was a team effort with Bloom Family Designs. They create beautifully designed rooms for adopted & foster children at no cost to the families.
Take a look at this family room and see what makes it so NEAT!
City :: Nashville
Organizer :: Holly Trepka
Non Profit :: Bloom Family Designs
Designer :: Jenny Reimold
Room :: Family Room
Hours to complete :: 5 hours
Objective :: NEAT Method Nashville was thrilled to partner with Bloom Family Designs to provide organizing services. The Hammons family have three children of their own, one with special needs, and they are fostering another child. They also home school and needed a mulitfunctional space for learning and gathering as a family. Our goal was to create a beautiful and bright organized space that brings cheer and order to this loving home.
Client’s favorite feature :: The children would previously do their school work at the kitchen table, which they would have to clear off anytime they had a meal. Now with a desginated desk area in the family room, the kids can keep all of their work in one spot.
Stand out product :: The family already owned two Kallax systems from IKEA. We flipped them both vertically and installed the pefect containers to complete the space. Target offers these clear boxes in both a slim shoe size and a half sweater size. They stacked perfectly into the IKEA system. Custom labels finished the job, and created zones for all of the home school and art supplies.
What’s your favorite part of this family room?
xx,
